The Rotary Club of Truro was pleased to induct two new members at their December 11, 2017 meeting.
 
Darlene Stevenson spent 28 years in the public service, recently retiring from ACOA. She lives in Masstown with her husband Sid Peters, Chief of the Glooscap First Nation.  Her son Dylan works in financial services and daughter Joecy is in grade 12, looking at going into chiropractic. Darlene is an avid horsewoman and is Secretary of the NS Pony Club.  She looks forward to learning more about Rotary and expanding her range and options for community service.  Darlene is sponsored by president Alana Hirtle.
 
Youwei Chen grew up in Fujian, China and came to Canada in 2008. He graduated from Dalhousie University with a B.Sc degree in Agricultural Economics. He spent a few year working in the food industry as supervisor, restaurant owner and now have moved on as an entrepreneur in B2B and B2C E-commerce.  He also looks forward to learning about Rotary and engaging with the community.
