Speaker: Rod Jones took the opportunity as Club Foundation Chair to talk about the Rotary Foundation and the impact it has had over the decades. The Foundation has contributed $47B in aid during its 100 year life. Over $87M was committed in 2018 alone.
This is all powered by donations from Rotarians such as us so it important to think about the RI foundation as our Charity. Rotarians in our district give over $250K annually to the RI Foundation.
Rod described the various methods of giving to the Foundation, the easiest being through the Rotary.org Website "Donate" button. As little as $100US per year will qualify a Rotarian to be a sustaining member.
He thanked members for their past contributions and while many members of club are already regular donors, some newer members may not know about it and he encourage everyone to ask if they would like more information.
