2011 Charter Night a Huge Success

The Rotary Club of Truro celebrated its 85th Anniversary and Rotary International’s Charter Night on Monday, February 21, 2011.
Guest speaker for the evening was the Honourable Darrell Dexter, Premier of Nova
Scotia, who addressed the issue of health care in the province.
Awards
for the evening included the Paul Harris Fellowship which is a recognition
award for members who have contributed at least $1,000 US to Rotary
International. Recipients this year were
Richard Bowness (multiple), Marilyn Brown, Sharon Corcoran, Ernest Bradley
(multiple), Rod Jones, Leslie Mosher (multiple), Arnold Hagen, Brian Matthews
and Ken MacLean.
Thank you to the Truro Concert Band which provided music during the meet and greet, to President Ken MacLean, MC, under whose guidance the evening was entertaining, well organized and successful, and to everyone who attended and made the evening such a success.
